Martha’s Vineyard by Land

Martha's Vineyard Land LinksThe Island's six towns - Aquinnah, Chilmark, Edgartown, Oak Bluffs, Tisbury (Vineyard Haven) and West Tisbury - are served by the Martha's Vineyard Transit Authority's bus routes. All VTA buses have bike racks, available at no cost, on a first-come basis.

Ride VTA for $1.00 per town including the one where you board or buy a money-saving, multi-ride pass at Steamship Authority ticket counters, the Edgartown Visitors Center and, in season, at the stop in Oak Bluffs. Maps are available at the Steamship Authority, the Oak Bluffs Information Booth, and at town halls and libraries.

At The Airport:
There's frequent VTA service to all towns.

Arriving By Ferry?
VTA buses will meet you at the docks in Vineyard Haven. It’s a short walk to the bus from docks in Edgartown and Oak Bluffs.
